At The Esplanade, we're delighted to help you celebrate any life event - and that includes weddings, birthdays and company milestones.

Functions can be held in Harry's on the Balcony or in our Private Dining Room.

Harry's can seat 100 people or 120 people standing (for a more casual cocktail style function).

Our Private Dining room seats 24 people or 40 people standing.
Private Dining Room Our elegant Private Dining room has both a lounge and dining area as well as its own access to the balcony. A minimum spend is required when this room is booked.

FREE room hire. At Harry's we don't charge room hire fees. The cost of your function is simply the cost of the food plus the beverages consumed. To book out the whole restaurant there is a minimum spend and its availability is restricted to our regular trading hours. For smaller functions, either the Swan Bay Side or the Port Phillip Bay Side of the Balcony is available for hire.
 

 

Beverage Service
The budget for beverage service is done in consultation with the function organizer and the final charge is determined on consumption.

In line with the responsible service of alcohol policy we do not offer a per head price for unlimited consumption.

 

Entertainment
For the comfort of our other dining guests only functions that book out the entire restaurant are allowed to have live entertainment.

We prefer entertainment that requires no or only a small amplifier. A five disc CD player is available for use.

Fixed menu functions
We have 3 fixed menus options for sit down dining:

  1. $65 per head, 3 courses. (Choice of 1 Entrée/Main/Dessert)
  2. $75 per head, 3 courses. (Choice of 2 Entrée/Main/Dessert)
  3. $85 per head, 3 appetizers & 3 courses. (Choice of 2 Entrée/Main/Dessert)

Of course, if you require something that is not included here, we'll do our best to tailor a menu for your function.

Cocktail party functions
For catering of a typical Cocktail party with platters of "Finger Food" the cost is $25 or $35 per head.

 
 

Function Terms & Conditions:

  1. Menu prices are inclusive of room hire, staffing and set-up costs.
  2. A deposit of 30% is required to secure a booking
  3. Final numbers are required not less than 7 days prior. An increase in numbers is permitted up to 48 hours prior.
  4. Charges will be calculated on confirmed numbers or actual guests, whichever is greater.
  5. Final payment is required on completion of function. Final payment terms are cash or credit card only.
  6. Cancellation Policy: Cancellation up to 28 days prior 50% of deposit is refundable. Cancellation within 28 days of function deposit is non-refundable.
  7. All prices are based on 5 hours duration. Charges apply if additional time is required.
  8. Lunch functions must be finished by 5pm & dinner functions by 12 midnight.
  9. We reserve the right to amend menus without notice.
  10. General hotel policies apply at all times.
  11. Birthday & special occasion cakes are available on request
  12. Flowers and decorations are also available on request
